Can Llouquette is situated in the Vallespir valley in the French Pyrenean mountains, literally a stones throw from the Spanish border. It is in the region of Languedoc-Roussillon, which is the most southerly region in France, and with sunshine through the summer and winter averaging over 300 days a year, it is also the sunniest!

We are situated in the foothills of the famous Mount Canigou, which dominates the horizon from almost every vantage point. Montferrer, our nearest village is about a mile away. It is small, but has a range of facilities, including a bar, restaurant and shop. The views are exceptional as you travel from the coast towards our base in the mountains.

The small market town of Céret, 30 minutes away has been home to several famous artists, including Picasso, Chagall and Braque. It boasts a famous Museum of Modern Art. Amélie-les-Bains, 20 minutes away, is a thriving spa town and the impressive small town of Prats de Mollo is just 10 minutes away and is the perfect place to sample some local culture during the rest day.re.

Travel is not included in the cost of our holidays, although we provide transfers from Girona airport and Perpignan train station and airport for £50 per person. Coming by train is a good option, fast trains to Perpigan take just under nine hours from London Waterloo. Visit Rail Europe for more details.

The cheapest and most popular way to reach us is to fly. Perpignan airport is less than an hour away and you can fly from either Southampton or Birmingham with Flybe, from London Stansted with Ryanair, or from London Manchester with bmibaby.

You may also fly into Girona in Spain, which is less than one and a half hours transfer to our base. You can fly to Girona with Ryainair from a whole range of U.K airports, including Blackpool, Bournemouth, Doncaster, East Midlands, London Stansted, London Luton and Liverpool. Ryanair also fly direct from Stockholm Skavsta to Girona.

We will then collect you from either airport and take you to Can Llouquette for an additional cost of £50 per person (£25 each way). Please contact us to confirm your holiday before booking your travel arrangements. Transfers may have to be coordinated with other arrivals at other airports.
