Can Llouquette is situated in the Vallespir valley in the French Pyrenean mountains, literally a stones throw from the Spanish border. It is in the region of Languedoc-Roussillon, which is the most southerly region in France, and with sunshine through the summer and winter averaging over 300 days a year, it is also the sunniest!

We are situated in the foothills of the famous Mount Canigou, which dominates the horizon from almost every vantage point. Montferrer, our nearest village is about a mile away. It is small, but has a range of facilities, including a bar, restaurant and shop. The views are exceptional as you travel from the coast towards our base in the mountains.

The small market town of Céret, 30 minutes away has been home to several famous artists, including Picasso, Chagall and Braque. It boasts a famous Museum of Modern Art. Amélie-les-Bains, 20 minutes away, is a thriving spa town and the impressive small town of Prats de Mollo is just 10 minutes away and is the perfect place to sample some local culture during the rest day.
