Included in the price of our one week holidays are five days of guided walking (three on a four night short break), provided by our friendly, qualified, resident guides. They are there to ensure that none of the gems of the valley remain unexplored and accompany our guests in the mountains not only to ensure their safety and security, but also to make sure that everyone gets the most from their experience.

The capability and affability of our guides is one of the things that brings our guests back time and again (take a look at our feedback). They know the surrounding mountains like the backs of their hands. They know where to find the best alpine meadows and the most likely hang-outs of the Ibex, or the favourite hunting grounds of the illusive Lammergeier (also known as the Bearded Vulture). Walking with an OutBreak guide gives you a far richer experience and greater appreciation of the wonderful mountain environment of the Haut Giffre.

Gustav is a partner in OutBreak Adventure and has been guiding our holidays since 2006. Bruno joined us in 2008 and both are fluent in English and French, as well as being professional walking guides, or Accompagnateur en Montagne, which is the French equivalent of the International Mountain Leader.

They are on hand in the chalet during the evening, along with our resident hosts, to discuss the walks with the group and to provide support, advice and a friendly face throughout. Half the fun of our holidays is sharing your experiences with others and new friends will be made along the way.

We tend to make use of our vehicle to access different parts of the valley and typically there will be a short minibus ride at the start and end of each day, although some walks can be done from our front door. Take a look at our Guest Gallery to get an idea of what an OutBreak Adventure is all about.
