Chalet based guided walking, French Alps
One consistent element on all of our centre based holidays is the quality of our accommodation and catering. The chalets and properties we use are always comfortable, charming and full of local character.
La Maison de Fifine

This 500 year old building has an abundance of character and has been carefully furnished in an authentic style, which is one of the reasons why it has been awarded five stars by the local authority. As well as having six guest rooms, there is also a sauna, spacious living/dining room and gardens.
Three of the bedrooms lead onto the south facing terrace overlooking the sunny garden and all of the bedrooms have en-suite facilities. Two rooms have one double bed each, three have two singles and one has four singles, which allows us to accommodate a maximum of 14 people.
Chalet Amaryllis
Amaryllis is a luxurious chalet sitting just off the market square in the village centre. The main house has five guest bedrooms all ensuite, accommodating up to 14 guests. All rooms include a CD/MP3 player, hairdryer and towels. And what better way to relax after a hard day on the mountain than in the hot tub on the balcony.
The dining area is double height and has a huge picture window with views of the surrounding mountains. There are a number of comfy sofa's where you can warm yourself by the fire, or enjoy the sun on the balcony that runs the length of this room. The large wooden dinning table is often the main focus. With all the guests seated together you can be assured of a fun and relaxed atmosphere.
Cuisine
Our guided walking holidays are full board. A one week holiday includes a hearty breakfast each day. We then lay out a range of options for people to make up their own packed lunches on walk days.
You will then find tea and cakes waiting for you on your return to the chalet and a three course evening meal with wine and beer will then be served on all but one evening, giving you the chance to try out some local Savoyard specialities in one of the local restaurants.
