Our 4 Peaks ( Grading: 4 Peaks ) graded alpine treks are the most challenging holidays we offer and are suitable for experienced walkers who are used to long days in mountainous terrain and who have a good head for heights.

On the longest day, expect to be walking for up to a maximum of eleven hours, including up to 1,500 metres (5,000ft) of vertical ascent. This may involve considerable scrambling, walking in difficult terrain, snow encounters and sustained exposure to height. You need to be a fit and regular walker to enjoy these 4 Peaks graded treks.

All meals and bedding are provided on the trek; you will just need to bring a sheet or sleeping bag liner. We recommend keeping your rucksack as light as possible; you will need to bring a few additional items on top of what you would normally carry on a day hike.

Spending six continuous days trekking allows us to reach wilder and more untouched terrain and provides a true sense of travelling from place to place. Also, the chances of seeing wildlife are further increased when going deeper into the mountains.

The treks take us to the very core of the most untouched parts of the northern French Alps, as well as the Swiss Valais Canton. We will walk where wolves roam and eagles soar, and there are even fossilised dinosaur's tracks, discovered only recently as the glacier previously covering them was receding. We will discover the different landscape formations as the geology changes dramatically from the prealpine limestone to the granite of the Mont Blanc massif.

Our treks are guided by either Gustav or Bruno, our qualified guides (Accompagnateur en Montagne). They are there to help you access the most beautiful parts of the region and to provide an experienced pair of hands, keeping you safe and providing an insight into the geology and history of this wonderful area, as well as a better understanding of the local alpine flora and fauna.
