Snowshoeing holidays, French Alps
One consistent element on all of our chalet-based holidays is the quality of our accommodation and catering. And the Grande Ourse in the picturesque village of Samoëns is no exception!
The five bedrooms can accommodate up to 13 people. Four rooms have en-suite bathrooms with luxury showers or baths, and the fifth room has two sets of bunk beds and a separate bathroom. There is a large cosy open-plan dining and lounge with a fireplace and bar area. The chalet also has a very inviting hot tub on the balcony from where you can enjoy the beautiful views.
Free WiFi internet access is available along with a selection of board games and books.
We will provide you with wholesome, hearty food, drawing on British, French and Mediterranean influences and using local ingredients where possible. Throughout your stay, you can also help yourself to beer, wine and snacks from the honesty bar.
Following a hearty breakfast each morning, you can make your own packed lunches. Tea and cakes will be waiting for you on your return to the chalet. A three-course evening meal with quality house wine, beer or soft drinks is served on all but one evening, giving you the chance to try out some local Savoyard specialities in one of the local restaurants.
Enjoying good food and drink is a big part of your stay. If you have any specific dietary requirements, please let us know and we will do our best to cater for them.
