Skiing & boarding holidays, French Alps

As with most of our alpine holidays, our winter skiing and snowboarding holidays are based at our wonderful authentic chalet, La Maison de Fifine, in the beautiful village of Samoëns in the Grand Massif region of the French Alps.

La Maison de Fifine
La Maison de Fifine is traditional savoyard house which has been renovated to offer charming spacious accommodation for up to 14 guests. The authenticity of this ancient building has been maintained without sacrificing any comfort. Antique furniture and fabrics complement the beamed ceilings and other original woodwork dating back hundreds of years.

It is only 400 metres from the centre of the village and there is a ski bus shuttle just 300 metres away, with just a two minute journey to the main telecabine leaving Samoëns village. The house is set on a south facing hillside, nestled in a quiet spot and offering exceptional views of the imposing 2,200 metre 'Aouille de Crioux', which stands above the village.

As well as having six large guest rooms, there is also a sauna, spacious living room and a separate dining room as well as gardens. Three of the bedrooms lead onto the south facing terrace overlooking the garden and all of the bedrooms have en-suite facilities. Two rooms have one double bed each, three have two singles and one has four singles.

The chalet is hosted by our own staff including Gustav, our resident walking guide and our holidays are full board.

Cuisine
A one week holiday includes a hearty breakfast each day. We then lay out a range of options for people to make up their own packed lunches on walk days.

You will then find tea and cakes waiting for you on your return to the chalet and a sumptuous three course evening meal will then be served on all but one evening, which gives you the chance to try out some local Savoyard specialities in one of the local restaurants, which we can reserve for you.
