About us
OutBreak Adventure is a small, independent company which has been established since 2004,
to provide fun and challenging experiences to our guests, who now number many hundreds.
We love sharing our passion for the outdoors and we firmly believe that offering challenging holidays provides a much more memorable experience. However, we recognise 'a challenge'
is different for everyone and for that reason we have developed a range of holidays and a grading system, to help you find just the holiday you are looking for.
Jamie founded OutBreak Adventure as a way of offering the same challenging 'life affirming' experiences to others that he has enjoyed himself, when both mountain biking and hiking in various parts of the world. The chances are that you will deal with him during the booking process. He can also be found accompanying our guests on some of our mountain bike holidays.
Gustav is of Swedish origin, but has lived in France since 1998. As well as being a partner in OutBreak Adventure he is also a qualified International Mountain Leader (Accompagnateur en Montagne) and speaks English like a native, as well as French... and Swedish. He leads a majority of our guided walking holidays.
Laura was a guest in 2007 and she enjoyed herself so much, she's decided to come back in 2008 and will be hosting in our flagship chalet, La Maison de Fifine. Laura is originally from Yorkshire and after travelling extensively she returned to work in London. Joining OutBreak this year is the perfect chance for Laura to escape the rat race and indulge her passion for the outdoors.
Andy was our mountain bike guide for the 2007 season and he is returning in 2008. Andy is a Glaswegian SMBLA qualified mountain bike leader and is taking a break from his studies, in Environmental Science with Outdoor Education at the University of Stirling, to join us for the Summer. It goes without saying that Andy just loves riding his bike and there's nowhere better than the Alps.
Bruno is an apprentice walking guide and will be working closely with Gustav and leading some of our alpine walking weeks during the Summer. Bruno is the one true Frenchman on the team. Having worked in a professional capacity for many years, Bruno decided to focus on what he loves most and entered into his mountain leader training, also known as Accompagnateur en Montagne in France.
